One evening, the whole campus. Students, faculty and staff take the karaoke stage, legendary local favorite Itchy Feet headline the music, and the food is on us. Everyone is invited to bring their family. Free, no tickets.

The night

Karaoke by students, faculty & staff

No outside acts, no ticket booth. Everyone on the stage comes from the AUA community — and everything off the stage is set up so families can settle in and stay a while.

Karaoke by students, faculty & staff

Our own people taking the mic — solo, duet or a whole department. Nobody from outside AUA sings on this stage.

Itchy Feet

Legendary local favorite Itchy Feet headline the night, playing between the karaoke slots right through the evening.

Free food

Food and drinks for everyone, at no charge. Bring an appetite, not a wallet.

Games

Games for all ages, so nobody is stuck waiting around between singers.

Family fun

Bring partners, children and parents. Chairs, blankets and appetites all welcome.

How karaoke night works

Four things to know before you sign up. That is the whole system.

01

Pick your song

Any song you like, plus a backup in case someone beats you to it. We source the karaoke track and the lyrics go up on the screen.

02

Solo, duet or group

Sing alone, grab a friend, or bring the whole department. One sign-up covers the whole group.

03

Up to 8 minutes

One song, or two if you want them — eight minutes on stage, including getting settled.

04

Just turn up and sing

No audition, no rehearsal, no experience required. Confidence optional; the crowd is on your side.

Karaoke sign-up

Apply for karaoke singing

Open to every AUA student, faculty member and staff member. One sign-up per slot — if you are singing as a duet or group, whoever is organising it applies.

Apply by Friday, 11 September 2026 Slots are capped at 8 minutes on stage — one song, or two.

Questions

Good to know

Who can sing?

Any AUA student, faculty member or staff member — College of Medicine and College of Arts and Sciences. Duets and groups are welcome, and a group only needs one sign-up from whoever is organising it.

Can I pick any song?

Almost. It needs a karaoke version we can find, and the lyrics have to suit an audience with children in it. Tell us your first choice and a backup and we will confirm both.

What if someone else picks my song?

First sign-up gets it. That is exactly what the backup song is for — and we will email you if your first choice is already taken.

How long do I get?

Up to eight minutes on stage, which is one song comfortably or two if you want them. The limit is firm so everyone who signed up gets their turn.

What is the deadline?

Friday, 11 September 2026. We build the running order after that, so later sign-ups can only go on a standby list.

Do I need to bring anything?

No. We provide the microphones, the track and the lyrics on screen. If you have a particular backing version you love, send us the link in the form.

I cannot really sing.

Nobody can, after the third song. That is the entire point of karaoke night — come and enjoy it.

Who is playing?

Legendary local favorite Itchy Feet headline the night, playing live between the karaoke slots. So you are singing on the same stage as the band — no pressure.

Can my family come?

Please bring them. This is a family night — partners, children, parents, everyone is welcome, and there is no ticket or charge.
